Washington (AP) -- Boosted by a saturation of advertising, Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama now has the edge in battlegrounds such as Ohio.
Obama spent 3.3 million dollars on TV advertising on Monday alone. At that rate he'll spend more than 90 million on ads through election day -- more than all the money Republican rival John McCain has had to spend on his entire fall campaign.
By now, McCain's allies had hoped the Arizona Senator would have established his dominance in states won by President Bush and would have focused on winning two of the three key rust belt states of Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan.
GOP strategist Terry Holt says money doesn't always mean victory, but it means you have more options to cover more of the battlefield.
