WVa Court to Consider Mental Health Care Issues
Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- Mental health care in West Virginia has again become the subject of a Kanawha County Circuit Court proceeding.

Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- Mental health care in West Virginia has again become the subject of a Kanawha County Circuit Court proceeding.
A Clerk for Judge Duke Bloom says a hearing is scheduled for Thursday to follow up on evidentiary hearings in April regarding the state's handling of its mental health care system.
Bloom convened the hearings on the overcrowded conditions at the state's two psychiatric hospitals in Huntington and Weston. Later, he held a hearing about the state's treatment of people suffering from traumatic brain injury.
The state agreed to a mediation process to see if it could address the concerns, and in April bloom said he hoped the process would be finished some time in June.
