WVa's Oldest Heritage Fair Kicks Off Thursday
Ripley, W.Va. (AP) -- More than 130 artisans will demonstrate their skills at Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley during the 46th annual Mountain State Art and Craft Fair.

Ripley, W.Va. (AP) -- More than 130 artisans will demonstrate their skills at Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley during the 46th annual Mountain State Art and Craft Fair.

West Virginia's oldest heritage fair kicks off Thursday and runs through Saturday.

Fairgoers can purchase handmade items ranging from clothing and fine art to items crafted from wood, glass and metal. They also can attend classes taught by artists and crafters.

The fair began in 1963 as part of West Virginia's Centennial Celebration.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $2 for children.
