Morgantown, W.Va. (AP) -- The West Virginia Civil Air Patrol has found a pilot's body with the wreckage of a small plane that vanished more than a week ago during a flight from Texas to Virginia.
Major Jeffery Schrock says a squadron from Clarksburg spotted the wreckage about five miles north of a navigational transmitter used by pilots in Rainelle, along West Virginia's southeastern border.
Schrock says ground teams had to hike over densely wooded, mountainous terrain to verify the debris was the missing plane.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford says Kwan Kwok of Virginia was reported missing by his sister. She says Kwok bought the plane in Dalhart, Texas.
Schrock says the Air Force told the Civil Air Patrol that the plane left Texas on Nov. 23.
