Morgantown, W.Va. (AP) -- West Virginia University is trying to determine whether a year-old wellness initiative for students has enough support to merit expansion and a building of its own.
In January 2009, several departments teamed up to create well WVU, the students' center of health.
It's focused on health care, education and promotion, and tries to take a holistic approach.
Now, the team involved is considering whether to build a comprehensive wellness facility near the student recreation center, along with intramural athletic fields.
The idea is to create a wellness park where students could learn about health and find medical, mental health and education resources in a single location.
Students can weigh in with support by completing a quick online survey.
