Moorefield, W.Va. (AP) -- A legal dispute over Moorefield Middle School's dress code policy has ended.
Parents and school administrators reached an agreement Wednesday following a hearing in hardy county circuit court.
Attorneys for both sides say a 13-member committee will create a new dress code policy.
Judge Jerry Moore set a June 30 deadline for the new policy to be drafted.
A group of parents sued in January after the existing policy was implemented.
The policy required students to wear solid-colored shirts and pants and banned any clothing with logos larger than 1 inch.
The lawsuit claimed the policy violated students' constitutional rights and created an economic hardship for families who can't afford to buy new clothes in the middle of the school year.
