There are chemicals available that can be placed in the park that will deter the Geese from remaining in this area, and will not be a danger to humans. The main reason geese stay in one location is because people feed them. I am sure there is a logical approach to capturing these geese and relocating them. I have dealt with this problem for a number of years on golf courses here in the Carolinas. I just wonder who the unfortunate person was who took the time to weigh 150 lbs. of Geese waste? Good Luck to all concerned...
Is there nothing these people won't whine about. If you don't like the Geese, just stay home. It's that simple.
What were the actual health concerns found by the biologist? What are all of the options? Which particular park activities are being disturbed?
LETS TALK ABOUT SOMETHING THAT REALLY STINKS,SLUDGE OR HUMAN WASTE THAT THE ULITITY BOARD SPREADS OUTSIDE THE CITY AND WHEN THE PEOPLE COMPLAIN THE CITY JUST DOES NOT CARE IT IS A CHEAP WAY TO DISPOSE OF IT. WHY NOT ASK THE CENTER FOR DESEASE CONTROL IN ATLANTA GEORGIA ABOUT THIS WAY OF DISPOSAL
You have got to be kidding me! Doesn't our mayor have more important things to worry about? Like perhaps bringing business back to downtown. If you want sanitary, eat at home. Besides, I'm in the park every week and I have yet to see any geese hanging out in the picnic shelters! And I'm pretty sure the geese are protected by federal laws against being "harrassed" even by our mayor.
