Those in the Mid-Ohio Valley have heard of "The Mothman."

And the rest of the country has heard of the elusive creature, too, after the release earlier this year of the movie "The Mothman Prophecies."

On Saturday, November 16th, believers and non-believers alike will be gathering in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, for the first official "Mothman Festival."

The festival will feature Mothman exhibits, including movie props and memorabilia from private collections.

There will also be an exclusive "Mothman Hay Ride" that will show visitors all the key sites associated with the rash of Mothman sitings that started in and around Point Pleasant back in the late 60s.
