this is very true of this area! i know of @ least three people that are involved in getting oxycontin and instead of taking the meds as prescribed, they sell them to make money. i know 1 person that buys them because they are addicted to them. i feel the law needs to do random checks on these people that doctors give these meds to. these are good meds for the people that need them and take them for the right reasons, i know people that couldn't function each day without them and they neither sell or abuse these meds.

It's Oxycontin, Lortab, and Vicodin. You didn't point out to veiwers that family members facilitate by helping to pay for drugs or ignoring it. When judges throw out cases, police (not all) don't realize it's against the law, and the community wants to ignore it, don't expect anything to change. It is a slap on the wrist for "Dr. shopping" if they actually get caught. We need tougher penalties because people know they can get away with it. Using medicaid dollars to pay for prescriptions then selling them for money is one problem, but their are people with money and doing the same. Big money for those people all tax free. Example the people buying drugs by Dr. kirkpatrick and then selling the RX back to him. We can all ignore it but it will only get worse until we decide enough is enough and take back our community. There are people with chronic pain, but when you take more than prescribed, go to more than one doctor for pain medication, and more than one pharmacy it's a "red" flag.
