A routine traffic stop turns up alleged wrongdoing and leads to an arrest for sexual assault of an underage girl.
According to the Wood County Sheriff's Department, Timothy McGary of Walker, West Virginia had a warrant for his arrest for allegedly sexually assaulting an underage girl.
He was charged with sexual assault in the third degree in Wood County Magistrate Court Saturday.
He was arrested Friday when he was driving with a burned out headlight and was charged with a second offense of driving on a suspended license for a previous drinking and driving charge.
He could face up to two years in prison and fines. McGary was released on bond Saturday.
