Adding the small college town of Athens, Ohio, on to Bill Clinton's tour, was an attempt to gain youth votes for his wife, Senator Hillary Clinton.
The majority of the crowd was college students and Clinton spoke to that.
"It is crazy to allow people to fear getting an education because of the debt burden =and if you know you cannot ever have to pay more than a certain percentage of your income every year, then no one will ever drop out of school and everybody will repay their loans," says Bill Clinton, former president.
It's an issue Elise George, a senior at Ohio University, is no stranger to.
"The biggest thing for me is the education, especially with private loans, something that I've struggled with. So, just to see that she has a plan to help students out. I'm on the edge of who I want to vote for, so a lot of the things I heard today might make me lean more towards her," says George.
But student Helle Poulsen, from Denmark, isn't so sure Senator Clinton's plan will work. "I'm just scared about our taxes, because who's going to pay for it, it seems like she's promising so much," says Poulsen.
Another topic Clinton pushed was putting an end to the war in Iraq. Hillary wants to bring them home fast, but also take care of them when they get back to the U.S.
"She will not allow America to repeat the disgraceful mistake of the Vietnam War, where we confused an unpopular war with our obligations to the veterans," says Clinton.
Senator Clinton wants to make more mental health counseling and better job training available for Iraq veterans.
Whether Bill Clinton swayed voters in Athens or not, what's certain is Hillary is looking for change and is trying to convince Ohio voters that she has solutions in mind.
