In Pleasants County nearly a dozen Democrats gathered at the courthouse to vote for their delegates Saturday.

The Pleasants County Democratic Party was alloted eight delegates but only four people were nominated.

Three women and one man will go on to represent the county at the Democratic State Convention in Charleston.

They also appointed Shirley Roby as Convention Chair. Alternates weren't elected.

At the State Convention in June, delegates will also approve the party platform and elect five representatives to the Electoral College.

The list of delegates will be sent to the West Virginia Democratic Party and will be posted on their web site.
