A Ritchie County man is in jail on charges of operating a meth lab out of his home.

Sheriff's officials arrested Robert Bailey of Pennsboro this week.

The officers were there because of a domestic fight, when they found a bag of methamphetamine in Bailey's pocket.

They searched the home and say they found a significant amount of drug paraphernalia, including items used to make meth.

Bailey allegedly admitted the items were his.

He is being held on a felony charge.

I'm glad the law enforcement is doing their job so well, which is to catch people doing illegal drugs. Meth, along with everything else is out of control here and everywhere. People are crazy to do the stuff. Hats off to the "good guys" in law enforcement. Thanks to you we all sleep better at night.

Ritchie Co. needs to get the meth labs under control. There are too many times that these people get out after a short stay in jail to open a new lab. Why are we cutting them deals to serve little time. This man deserves to be in jail for a long time. This is just one of many meth labs in the Ritchie Co. area and I'm sure that with this bust there will be many more b/c Mr. Bailey will "rat" on others to get out of trouble. This man is very young and I hope that a stay in jail will straighten him up, but what are those odds? We need to have an example set, so far what the community has seen is that once you get busted you better just move your operation to a new location!
