Local Actors Perform "The Civil War" Save Email Print

The Actors Guild of Parkersburg has been preparing for weeks to perform the Broadway musical "The Civil War" for the second year in a row.

Sunday close to two hundred people came out to the Actors Guild Theatre to see the twenty-one local actors perform in their fifth show.

The musical's based on the writings of Civil War soldiers and their families plus Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglas, and Walt Whitman.

It's directed by Charlie Matthews. It was written by Frank Wildhorn, Gregory Boyd, and Jack Murphy. The music is by Frank Wildhorn.

The show continues this Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, at 8 p.m.

I have seen theis show and it is wonderful! If you want a truly moving look at the history of our country go see this show! You will not be disappointed!
