Two people are dead after a mid-day plane crash Monday in Morgan County.

The Ohio Highway Patrol says they got a call around 1:30 reporting a plane crash.

Crews searched by helicopter, by boat and on ATV off of State Route 284.

They searched the dense woods just north of State Route 83 trying to figure out how the plan crashed.

The plane was a 1966 Beechcraft 35 Bonanza single engine plane registered to someone from Cullman, AL.

A Tri-State Airport official says a man and a woman stopped with the plane at Huntington Tristate Airport Saturday.

Mechanics there replaced the battery.

Online flight records show shortly before 10:30 Monday Morning the single engine plane took off from Huntington.

It was scheduled to land in Rochester, NY two hours later.

Officials have not yet released the victims' identities or the cause of the crash.
