The Washington County Sheriff's Department kicks off their Click It Or Ticket program this week, their first stop will be rewarding drive through customers for wearing their seat belt.
Lieutenant Jon Coppernoll says it's a national program promoting seat belt use.
He says a recent study showed residents in this area don't wear their seat belts as often as they're supposed to.
"The Southeast region of our state had the lowest usage, some other factors they found were male drivers and passengers had low usage rates. Something we could probably anticipate is drivers between the ages of 18 and 25 have very low usage rates," says Lieutenant Coppernoll.
Coppernoll will be at the McDonald's on Glendale and Gilman roads in Marietta this Friday from 11:30-1:00.
He'll be rewarding people wearing their seat belt with free sandwiches.
