You may know her as D.J. Tanner from the hit TV show "Full House" but Candace Cameron Bure is doing more than acting these days.

She's traveling around the country talking about her faith and Sunday she visited Parkersburg.

Close to 200 people anxiously awaited for their chance to meet Candace Cameron Bure Sunday.

"I've been waiting for it for a long time," said 10-year-old Jolan Summers.

"She's my favorite actor in the world. I think she's funny at being D.J. Tanner in Full House," said Kalee Schmidt,

The TV series Full House ran from 1987 until 1995.

"It's kind of like "The Brady Bunch" and i think it will live on forever. It's just a good wholesome family show and they're not making them like that anymore," said Bure.

Through syndication it has crossed generations.

"I remember watching it and then I have two sons, Jamie and Jay, and they grew up watching it and then my grandchildren are now watching the reruns and love it," said Sandy Harris, a member of North Parkersburg Baptist Church.

People of all ages got to meet her before she spoke at North Parkersburg Baptist Church.

"But I forgot to ask her that was it fun and stuff on it?" said Schmidt.

So I asked her about what it was like being on the show.

"Really I had the best time and everyone was really wonderful. We were like a second family on the show and i still keep in touch with mostly everyone," said Bure.

Now Bure is married to NHL star Valeri Bure and is the mother of three children.

"As much as we don't always want to listen to it as kids, I think our relationship with God is the most important thing you could have in your entire life and I would try to encourage everyone to know who he is," she said.

Bure says she started going to church as a teenager but found God for herself in her early twenties.

But even during the show, Hollywood wasn't everything for her and her brother, actor Kirk Cameron.

"My mom and dad kept us very grounded in the business and it just wasn't the focus in our family," she said.

But still that didn't keep some like Schmidt, from being star struck when she got to meet Bure.

"I was kind of nervous talking to her and I said I am your biggest fan," said Schmidt.

Bure is also in a new movie titled "The Wager" which is due in theaters this summer.

Plus according to her blog, she started filming a new Hallmark Channel TV movie titled "Moonlight and Mistletoe."
