The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports the Kroger Co. has recalled ground beef in Michigan and central and northwestern Ohio in response to the 32 E. coli infections reported in the two states. Washington County isn't one of the counties with reported E.coli O157: H7 infections or the recall but there are steps to take to kill the bacteria before you come in contact with it.
