A local health department is opening its doors to keep every member of your family healthy and happy!

The Washington County Health Department is holding its 2nd annual Healthy Happenings event Thursday.

The health fair features affordable sports physicals, immunizations and rabies shots for your pets.

The sports physicals run until noon and you must first have an appointment.

The immunizations run until noon and the cost is $7.

Rabies shots for your dogs or cats are $5 a piece and those will take place from three-thirty to five Thursday afternoon.

Dozens of informational booths are also set up around the area.

The health department is located on Muskingum Drive in Marietta.

They need to try and get them closer To others that cant get down in mareitta when they are having it so all the pets in washington county can be treated and safe!!With gas price you cant afford to go 45 mins away from home and pay $5.00 a pet when you take in the homeless pets around the country side instead of taking them to the pounds (it cost me almost 100.00 for my pets and gas to get there) Ugh!
