Monday marks the first day for public testing of Wood County's new voting machines, but the testing has hit a few roadblocks.
Legally, the Wood County Clerk of Courts is required to test each of the 17 machines used in early voting before two of the three county commissioners. That testing was scheduled to begin Monday morning, but was continued because certain voting software has not arrived.
Wood County Clerk of Courts Jamie Six says the delayed software is affecting more than just Wood County.
Because it's in such high demand, other parts of the country have had to push back early voting dates.
Six says he still thinks early voting will begin next Wednesday in Wood County with the touch screen machines.
The commission will re-visit the public testing issue at their next meeting on Thursday.
