Local, state and federal agencies Tuesday night removed two devices resembling pipe bombs that were found Tuesday morning at post offices in Guysville and Stewart in Athens County.

The devices were rendered inert early Tuesday evening, and later determined no hazardous substances accompanied the device.

The U.S. Postal Service expected mail delivery to resume in the affected areas Wednesday.

Ohio Route 329 from U.S. Route 50 through the villages of Guysville and Stewart have been reopened to traffic.

At a press conference Tuesday night, officials said they had no leads to any possible suspects in the two incidents.

F.B.I. Supervisor Joe Swayze said there was no known connection between the pipe bombs and a robbery of a Coolville bank that same day.
