Market Street is getting a new tenant.

Earlier today the Erickson Foundation handed over the W.T. Grant building to West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

Charles Erickson made the donation to WVU-P President Marie Foster Gnage with Parkersburg Mayor Bob Newell there as well.

Gnage says the school will be working with city, county and business leaders to determine what the community needs are for the area.

The building, which is currently empty, Is located at 705 to 711 Market Street.
