Williamstown, W.V. (AP) -- With grim economic news a daily reality, a brand-new truck plant looking to hire workers offers a rare bright spot.

That's partly why so many dignitaries are planning to be at Hino Motors Manufacturing USA Inc.'s grand opening ceremony, scheduled Monday at the Williamstown Plant.

Scheduled guests include Gov. Joe Manchin, U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller and Shoji Kondo, Chairman of the Toyota subsidiary.

Hino's first vehicle rolled off the assembly line last November, but the formal opening ceremony is being held as production is now in full swing.

The company announced in July it's looking to add about 30 workers, bringing the total to around 110.
