Parkersburg Police Officers Receive Awards From DNR

Two Parkersburg Police officers were awarded Thursday, for their hard work in putting an end to poaching.
Chris McKnight, with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources presented Officer Mike Stalnaker with an award for helping to catch someone that killed a deer on private property in 2006.
McKnight also awarded Patrolman Mike Bosley for helping catch a poacher last year, who killed a dear near the flood wall.
"With a big county and a large population, it's great to have extra officers helping out here and vice versa, I try to make it out when I'm working on it, to give them guys a hand. With the county, we have a great relationship with all the police agencies int eh county," says Chris McKnight, West Virginia DNR.
Police Chief Gerald Board, also received an award for his efforts to end poaching.
