A candidate running for office in West Virginia stopped by the Mid-Ohio Valley Wednesday.
J. Michael Teets is the Republican candidate for the Commissioner of Agriculture. He is running against the current West Virginia commissioner, Gus R. Douglass.
He stopped in Parkersburg as part of his effort to touch base with voters in all 55 of West Virginia's counties
J. Michael Teets, WV Agriculture Commissioner Candidate says: "We have the land, we have the workforce, we have the know-how, we just need to do everything we can for West Virginians and production and bring money into this state and jobs and get this state headed in the right direction."
The candidate says he's also concerned about the possibility of current double dipping in the commissioner of agriculture's office.
Teets is back on the road again Thursday. He's trying to stop in 26 counties just this week.
