Friends and family of former West Virginia Governor, Cecil Underwood, gathered Monday, in Charleston, for his memorial service.

Underwood was at one time the state's youngest and oldest governor. He died last week, at 86.

The service was held at Christ Church United Methodist.

Flags on all West Virginia state buildings have been flying at half-staff for the past week, in memory of the former governor.
