The higher temperatures helped power companies continue to restore power Sunday and it give some who were couped up in their homes all week a chance to get out.

People were out walking and running at City Park Sunday afternoon when temperatures rose up into the high 40s.

Several say they are happy for a break from the ice and snow.

"It's really great running weather to be out here in our shorts and t-shirts, after all the cold. So one nice day and we thought we'd get out and run around a little bit," said Keith Mayer a Washington, WV resident.
Kayla McMahan, a Lubeck resident said "( I am) running with my friends.

Kristy Bunner, a Parkersburg resident said "I'm out walking with my daughter walking the dog. It's a beautiful day."

Even though much of the ice and snow melted the Little Kanawha River has not changed much.

The ice is still built up on the river near the I-77 bridge.
