Several Marietta residents got quite a scare Sunday night, when they thought they heard someone driving around firing a gun.

According the Marietta Police, it turned out to be a cab driver throwing fireworks out the window of his car.

Police say Michael Paul Adams was throwing fireworks on the 400 block of Warren Street.

When police arrested the 24-year old on Washington Street, they say they also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Adams was arrested and is out on bond.

Marietta Police have not said which cab company Adams works for.
