At least the new Putnam Street bridge has four lanes. Imagine if the old two-lane bridge was still there...that would be a mess!

I am happy that Marietta took the time to study the traffic patterns. I remember when the bridge was closed before and it took 30-40 minutes to get from Harmar Hill to in town. Now it only takes me an extra 5 minutes. As for people not obeying the traffic changes, it will take time. Look how long it took motorists to stop at the stop sign at the corner where the Lafayette Hotel is located. Don't start any road rages just be patient!

A little late don't you think. It would have been nice if they would have let the public know of the changes ahead of time. And as far as traffic moving smoothly, I would have to beg the differ. It seems to me that people are still unaware of the Putnam Street Bridge changes. I travel across the bridge at least twice a day and every time I get close to the light someone cuts in front of me because they are in the wrong lane. I am glad to hear that all the changes are temporary.

Wow the complaints on Mtta Times website-folks, imagine if it were 2yrs. /- to rebuild another one -this is hopefully for only 60 days, then it's done! It is an inconvenience, but one we all knew was coming.

I was in Marietta yesterday to shop along Putnam street. Was I ever surprised to discover three cars parked along the curb where parking USED to be allowed, all right in front of NO PARKING AT ANY TIME signs. I was surprised, until I realized it was due to the changing traffic pattern. So I went around the block and found a parking space. Still able to shop, but just had to walk a little further.
