More than 500 young people are getting their hands dirty by cleaning up Wood County with the help from an organization known as the Mid-Ohio Valley Work Camp.
Trey Robinson is a first time camper with the Mid-Ohio Valley Work Camp and he said that helping the less fortunate makes him feel good.
The crew of 10 are helping to paint the home of Raymond Lonas from Parkersburg. The volunteers will be working until Thursday for about eight hours each day.
Volunteers came from all over the United States to be campers at the Mid-Ohio Valley Work Camp. Kylee Lombard is a volunteer from Texas, but grew up in Williamstown.
"It's just amazing to come back and do something for other people and just see their reaction and how they love it, it's just worth it, "said Lombard.
There are 43 different sites all throughout Wood County volunteers are working on.
The program is into it's 11th year and growing, the camp is sponsored by the area Churches of Christ.
