The hot weather didn't stop people from coming out to Parkersburg's annual ice cream social Saturday.
The event kicked off at ten Saturday morning on Market Street in downtown.
The First Baptist Church is hosting this year's event but there were also many members of the National Guard on hand.
The 249th Army Band performed for the crowd as well.
