There's no place like home for the holidays. This Christmas, one valley couple is giving real meaning to those words. We share their story in this week's Come Home.

The creaking stairs of this old house are music to Karen Francis' ears.
Karen says, "We'd drive through occasionally, and admire the homes....and think oh, if we could just live here, just never thought it would happen."

The Julia-Ann Square Historic district was a magical land not so far away, when Karen was growing up in Lubeck.

Karen says, "I was a country girl for a long time..."

Like most country girls, a hunger to see the world beyond lulled Karen away.

Still, neither time nor distance could shake Karen from her calling. Now, Karen's the inn-keeper at The Old Carriage House Bed and Breakfast.

It's a place Karen Francis knows she belongs. Now it's her mission, to make sure others feel it, too.
