A recent study shows the levels of manganese in the Marietta area air exceeds background levels and health based guidelines but it's unknown whether or not the amount of exposure could cause health effects.

People in the Valley just are not happy if they dont have something to complain about, if thier SO concerned with the air quality, why do they live here, it not like the manufacturing businesses just poped up in the last 5 to 10 years! Come on people whats next, putting a stop to the Riverfront Roar, because it hurts the fish in the river?

People are not going to be happy until all the local plants are closed. I guess they will enjoy seeing their property value go into the toilet because there are no jobs in the area. The area plants have cleaned up the air quality a lot. If you think it is bad here move to China or parts of Texas. You will be thankful for the air we have. Some of those places you can't even see you hand in front of your face. I am just so sick and tired of hearing the crap! Move out of the area if you don't like it. Some people would like to keep there jobs. People cannot survive without work. You either keep the plants or starve to death. I really don't want ot starve to death.
