Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- The State Department of Education is preparing to launch a new web site that will offer detailed student data.
Deputy Superintendent Jack McClanahan told the state school board Wednesday that the new site will allow users to check county graduation rates and match test scores with socio-economic status, among other things.
McClanahan says the site eventually will offer standardized test data and demographics such as student density.
State Superintendent Steve Paine says the site should be ready by October.
