Workers are putting in a water line in Wood County between Davisville and Kanawha. This has some residents concerned and others saying thanks.

Claywood Park Water District is finishing up placing nearly two miles of 12 inch pipe on the North Bend Rail Trail to serve residents in Elizabeth.

General Manager Todd Grinstead said it's part of the "Jessica Lynch Water Project."

According to Grinstead, there are more customers in Wirt County so the lines had to be upgraded to provide more water to the tank that serves them.

Jeff Boggess, a resident who lives near this section of the trail said "But it has also helped us down here that it has allowed us to tap into that 12 inch water line and we'll be able to have fire service down here which will in turn help us save on our home owner's insurance."

An official at North Bend State Park said when the work is done residents should almost have a new trail.

Some residents are concerned the trail won't be restored but Grinstead said they plan to have it done by the end of August.
