Starting next weekend over 20 residents will take to the stage in the musical "Paint Your Wagon."

Back in the late 1960s Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood starred in a movie version of "Paint Your Wagon" but the local director said the stage version is different.

Director Dave Prather said Eastwood's character isn't in the stage show.

Prather said "and the songs have to fit what's going on with your story and I think this one 'Paint Your Wagon' just fits so well and they're such fun songs."

The shows are every Friday and Saturday from July 31 until August 15 at 8 p.m. at the Actor's Guild on Market Street.

On Sunday August 9 there will be a matinee at 2:30 p.m. The show costs $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors.
