A Belleville man is out on bond Monday after authorities say he left the scene of an accident over the weekend.

It happened just after midnight Sunday on the 2400 block of Pond Creek Road in Belleville.

Wood county Sheriff's officials say 36-year-old Brian Townsend drove his ATV into the back of a truck.

Authorities say Townsend then left his injured passenger Donetta Breedlove, also of Belleville, at the scene.

Breedlove was treated for injuries and released from the hospital.

Townsend was arrested soon after at his residence.

He was then charged with Driving While Suspended for DUI, Leaving the Scene with Injury, and Duty to Render Aid in an Accident.

Townsend has been released on bond.
