Over 1800 Marijuana Plants Seized, Man Arrested

A three month investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff's Department resulted in the destruction of over 1800 marijuana plants.
Sheriff Charles Black, Jr. reported that 45-year-old Joseph Clark of Fry Hill Road near Sardis was arrested Wednesday.
According to a release by the sheriff, Clark was seized after he exited the marijuana patch hidden in the Wayne National Forest.
A motion sensor camera that was set up recorded Clark tending the plants.
Also seized in a search of Clark's residences was drug paraphernalia, distribution equipment, cultivation tools and 70 pounds of dried marijuana.
State and federal charges are pending.
