An area man is dead after a crash in Mason County early Sunday morning.

Deputies with the Mason County Sheriff's Department say a single vehicle crash on Route 62 killed the passenger, 36-year-old Timothy Roberts, of Leon.

Deputies say it appears the driver ran her Ford Explorer off of the right side of the road, and overturned.

Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
