A lucky move by a St. Marys resident didn't save his motor home...but it probably saved his house.

Firefighters from St. Marys and Belmont were called to put out the blaze in a motor home on Powell River Run Road shortly before two this afternoon.

It isn't known how the fire began..but it had been parked by the owner's home just before the fire broke out.

"Preliminary reports say he moved it from his parking spot, when it caught on fire," says fire chief Mark Hadley.

No one was injured...but the Monaco Diplomat vehicle is considered a total loss.
