Fatal Accident on US Route 50; Name Released
The name of the victim involved in Thursday's fatal accident has been released by the Ritchie County Sheriff's Department.

UPDATE:

Ritchie County Sheriff's Deputies confirm that 62-year-old Roger Franks, of Shreve, Ohio, died as a result of the accident on Route 50.

Deputies say they do not believe the weather, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.

Franks was taken to Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, where he pronounced dead after 7:00 p.m. by the Wood County Coroner.

Ritchie County Sheriff Officials confirmed the driver of the vehicle died as a result from the accident. Officials said they are still waiting to notify all the family members before they will release a name.

One person was taken to Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
The Ritchie County Sheriff's Office is not releasing the name of the driver until family members can be notified.

An accident on Route 50, right on the Wood-Ritchie County line, has one person critically injured.

The accident happened near Marietta Run Road.

Dispatchers say the injured person was trapped in the vehicle.
