The Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley is celebrating 100 years of service.

More than 140 people assembled in the Blennerhassett Hotel ballroom for the annual dinner and address by the Chair of the State Chamber of Commerce.

Stephen Roberts spoke of the success of the chamber and the promise of the future.

He commented on how comfortable he is visiting Parkersburg --a heart of commerce for the state-- as he says he was also raised in the region.

"Once again, I am a Huntington native. I grew up on the Ohio River, I'm also a history buff...so I'm fascinated by the history that this community has, and is so proud of," states WV Chamber President Stephen Roberts. " I have many, many friends here and (I) am just pleased and really honored to be the speaker for the 100th annual meeting of the chamber of commerce."

The dinner and social hour was supported by many levels of sponsors...and drew the thanks of local Chamber President and CEO Bonnie Grady.
