A three vehicle accident in downtown Parkersburg sent one woman to the hospital Saturday evening.

Police said it happened at the intersection of Eighth and Ann Streets around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Janice Clowes was driving south on Ann Street, ran a red light, and hit a vehicle on Eighth Street which knocked into another car.

Police said the 55-year-old Millfield, Ohio resident was taken to Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.

A hospital official said Clowes was still being evaluated at 10:38 p.m. Saturday.

No other injuries were reported.

Police said Clowes was cited for running a red light and not having proof of insurance.
