Macksburg Man Accused of Planning to Kill Witnesses

Steven Medaris' bond was set at $15,000 by Judge Janet Dyar-Welch Tuesday.
For each charge, bond as placed at $5,000. He's facing three charges of attempted retaliation.
He also has a PR bond with the condition that he not have any contact with the victim or the two witnesses.
He remains behind bars.

A Washington County man is behind bars after officials say he offered to kill three witnesses in an upcoming trial.
20-year-old Steven Medaris of Macksburg is facing three felony charges of attempted retaliation.
Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks says Monday night Medaris confessed to offering to kill two witnesses and a police officer for $15,000.
Sheriff Mincks says they also found a document including a list of materials needed to make a bomb in his possession.
Officials say Medaris told them he was serious about carrying out the threats.
He remains behind bars at the Washington County Jail this and is set to appear in Marietta Municipal Court later Tuesday.
