A bus carrying health care reform advocates rolled into downtown Parkersburg Thursday on its trip across northern West Virginia.

Residents shared stories of not being able to get health insurance when they really needed it under the current system.

These opinions and the bus were met with opposition who often interrupted the speeches by residents, Democratic Chair Walt Auvil, and the West Virginia AFL-CIO President Kenny Perdue.

Perdue said he believes the plan will take care of working people, have a public option, leave existing plans alone and won't deny coverage for the people working hard for it.

St. Marys resident, Fred Dailey, who said he is an independent, opposes the health care reform plan. He said the reform plan would be too costly and would give the government too much control.
