A Pleasants County man was in the hospital Sunday night after an ATV accident.

West Virginia State Police said a man in his late thirties was visiting friends and riding an ATV home near the Pleasants-Tyler county line close to 8 p.m. Sunday when he got into an accident.

At this time police do not know what caused the accident but said they believe he does not face life threatening injuries.

He was taken by helicopter to a Morgantown hospital.

Police have not released his name.
