Hundreds showed up at the Salvation Army headquarters on Fifth Street in Parkersburg to take part in the traditional meal of turkey, dressing, potatoes and green beans.
And the needy aren't the only ones who come for the food and fellowship.
Helping out in dishing out the holiday goods were numerous volunteers... many of whom take part every year in the dinner...and the army's other activities.
"(I've been busy doing) everything...and I bell-ring for them and volunteer in the store," said volunteer Bunny Broughton. "This is my life...I love it."
What wasn't served at the dinner...was sent as carry-out to needy people who live in the Salvation Army's multi-county area.
