A Parkersburg woman is recovering Sunday after being attacked in the parking lot of a local restaurant.

Saturday night, the forty-eight year old woman won several hundred dollars on a video gambling machine at the Safari Cafe in Parkersburg.

Police say another customer saw the woman win the money and tried to rob her in the parking lot when she was leaving to go home.

The two wrestled for several minutes and the man got away with some of the victims winnings.

Police say the woman walked away with only minor injuries.

The suspect has been described as a white male, between 5 feet 8 and 6 feet tall with dark hair weighing between 200-220 pounds.

If you have any information on the incident you are urged to contact Parkerburg Police at 424-8444.
