Members of the Honda "Gold Wing" Motorcycle Owners Group held their annual convention this past weekend at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
Approximately 1800 cycles were on hand for the three-day event, which included everything from seminars to a marketplace for vendors.
And, apparently, Marietta was a hit with the participants.
"It's a nice little town," said John Dorak, a vendor from Ontario, Canada. "I've checked it out and saw the big boats down here. It's got a lot of old area and new area; a good mix. It's a nice little town in general."
Organizers say the highlight of the weekend happened Saturday night...when hundreds of bikes cruised through the streets of downtown Marietta.
