Sunday the Little Hocking Tiger Cub Pack 19 was out trying to raise money for the American Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti.
Pack 19 was in front of the Belpre Kroger for three hours collecting.
Kathleen Gordon, the den mother of the pack said it is a great lesson to learn, "It's teaching them good leadership, honesty, giving, and in hard times how you can make a difference. So this will be an experience they won't forget."
Kroger is also giving to Haiti. Stores nationwide have donation boxes set up at the end of every cash register.
"Kroger overall has donated $600,000 dollars so far to the American Red Cross and the Haiti relief fund. We have hopes of reaching our goal of one million dollars by the end of January 30th, " said David Wharton, the co-manager of the Belpre Kroger.
Wharton said that the goal of one million dollars nationwide for Haiti is attainable because of the generosity of the people across the nation, and in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
